The Story
In 2017, local Jackson Hole artist, Nicole Gaitan (Felton) was selected through the non-profit, Jackson Hole Public Art, to create the beautiful five-piece Trout Rising installation currently occupying the south side of the Orvis® store in Jackson, WY.
Fast forward to July 2023, Nicole was recovering from her own serious post-pregnancy health issues when her three-year-old daughter, Parker, was suddenly diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney Cancer; specifically, Wilms' Tumor (Nephroblastoma).
Parker was life-flighted to Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City where the affected kidney was removed. Parker has endured countless weeks of chemo and radiation since July and will continue a long, winding, and unpredictable treatment regimen throughout 2024.
The Perkins family, owners of the international Orvis®️ company, have endorsed our efforts and cause for the Felton family and generously donated the Trout Rising installation for our fundraising efforts.

We're so happy and honored that you're here supporting this important fundraiser!
All proceeds received will be applied to Parker's current and projected medical bills with any remaining funds donated to families facing financial struggles due to childhood cancers.
Browse the beautiful images below. Please note the dimensions as these are LARGE format pieces. Each trout is painted on metal using outdoor acrylic paint and a special sculpture spray that ensures durability against the elements.
Three pieces will be auctioned online; one piece (LEAP) will be raffled; and one piece (OVERCOME) will be auctioned at our LIVE event in Jackson Hole (please join us if you can). With the exception of LEAP, the raffled piece, each trout has a reserve price of $2500.
